Planning Engineer
Site-based mine planning across operating WA mines — short to long-term plans, designs and schedules in Deswik or EPS. Permanent FIFO role with real variety.
About the role
What you will be doing
Our Contracting Division is looking for experienced Planning Engineers to work site-based within operating mines across Western Australia. You will develop mine plans across short, medium and long-term horizons, optimise production, support operational decisions and improve planning systems.
You will be backed by our Perth-based team of senior engineers and a culture built on Quality First, Professional Growth, Respect, Integrity and Ownership.

The work
Key responsibilities
- Deliver mine planning support at operating sites
- Develop short, medium and long-term mine plans
- Create mine designs, development plans, schedules and production forecasts
- Produce planning deliverables using Deswik, EPS or similar software
- Work with operational teams to optimise performance
- Assist with drill and blast, ventilation and infrastructure planning
- Review and improve planning systems and workflows
- Support budgeting, forecasting and scheduling cycles
- Provide technical advice to site leadership
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
About you
Your qualifications & experience
- Degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' mine planning experience
- Strong proficiency in planning software (Deswik, EPS or equivalent)
- Sound understanding of mining methods and scheduling principles
- Collaborative and analytical approach
- Commitment to safety and compliance
- Manual C-Class driver's licence
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to work autonomously in dynamic site environments
