About the role

What you will be doing

Our Contracting Division is looking for experienced Planning Engineers to work site-based within operating mines across Western Australia. You will develop mine plans across short, medium and long-term horizons, optimise production, support operational decisions and improve planning systems.

You will be backed by our Perth-based team of senior engineers and a culture built on Quality First, Professional Growth, Respect, Integrity and Ownership.

The work

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver mine planning support at operating sites
  • Develop short, medium and long-term mine plans
  • Create mine designs, development plans, schedules and production forecasts
  • Produce planning deliverables using Deswik, EPS or similar software
  • Work with operational teams to optimise performance
  • Assist with drill and blast, ventilation and infrastructure planning
  • Review and improve planning systems and workflows
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and scheduling cycles
  • Provide technical advice to site leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives

About you

Your qualifications & experience

  • Degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' mine planning experience
  • Strong proficiency in planning software (Deswik, EPS or equivalent)
  • Sound understanding of mining methods and scheduling principles
  • Collaborative and analytical approach
  • Commitment to safety and compliance
  • Manual C-Class driver's licence
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Ability to work autonomously in dynamic site environments
