What does a mining engineering consultancy do?

A mining engineering consultancy provides independent technical work across the mine life cycle — mining studies (scoping, pre-feasibility and definitive feasibility), JORC-compliant Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve reporting, mine design, mine planning, life-of-mine scheduling, optimisation, economic analysis and technical due diligence. Go Engineering delivers these services to open pit and underground operations across Western Australia, following the staged study process described in the AusIMM Study Processes Handbook (Monograph 35).

What is the difference between a scoping study, PFS and DFS?

They are successive stages of confidence. A scoping study is an order-of-magnitude assessment (about minus 25 to plus 50 per cent accuracy) that tests whether a concept warrants further spend; a pre-feasibility study (about minus 15 to plus 25 per cent) compares development options, addresses the JORC modifying factors and is the first stage that can support an Ore Reserve; a definitive feasibility study (about minus 10 to plus 15 per cent) provides the engineered, bankable basis for a final investment decision.

Are your resource and reserve statements JORC compliant?

Yes. Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve statements are prepared and signed off by Competent Persons under the JORC Code 2012 — members of a recognised professional organisation such as AusIMM with the required experience in the deposit style and mining method — with estimation methodology, classification and modifying factors documented so each statement stands up to peer review, audit and ASX disclosure.

Do you also provide on-site engineers?

Yes. Alongside consulting, our Contracting arm embeds qualified engineers into operations — statutory coverage by certificated Alternate Underground and Quarry Managers under the WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022, plus planning and production engineering coverage — so study recommendations carry through into operational delivery.
